Methodology

How we
work.

Our public process is simple. We establish the current position, compare it with the market, focus on what matters most and review what changed.

The detailed CASS analysis behind those decisions is proprietary.

Purpose

What the method is for.

The purpose of the methodology is to understand and strengthen a company’s Commercial Authority — how clearly, credibly and consistently the business is represented across its own website, search, AI systems and the external sources buyers rely on. The full definition is on that page.

That is why we do not treat rankings, AI visibility, citations, website content and external authority as unrelated audits. The method examines how those signals interact when a company needs to be found, understood and evaluated.

CASS, the Commercial Authority Signal System, is Transform&’s proprietary internal system for assessing Commercial Authority.

The four stages below describe what happens in an engagement. About CASS; its internal analysis logic is proprietary and is not published. What an engagement includes is described on the services page.

Four stages

The sequence

  1. 01

    Assess

Establish the current position and understand where the business is being overlooked.

  2. 02

    Compare

Put that position in market context.

  3. 03

    Strengthen

Focus effort on the changes most likely to matter.

  4. 04

    Measure

Review progress using comparable observations where measurement is included.

Measurement

How we measure progress.

When measurement is part of an engagement, we use a consistent scope so later observations can be compared with the starting point.

Depending on the work, that may include search presence, AI visibility, citations, recommendations or competitor position. The exact measurement design depends on the market and engagement.

What we don’t claim.

  • We cannot control search engines or AI models.
  • We cannot guarantee rankings, citations or recommendations.
  • Generated answers vary between runs and change without notice, so we report ranges and dates.
  • Where a change cannot be attributed to our work, we say so.
